Students are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of class to allow plenty of time to check-in and settle into a comfortable place for your practice. To save time, please register on Mind Body online before coming. If you find your favorite class is always filling up, we encourage you to sign in on our online system to save your spot. Please be very quiet & respectful of the other students and the teacher if you enter the class late. Classes and workshops are closed 5 minutes after the start time. It is NOT necessary to pre-register for Drop-In Classes but is recommended for busier classes. If you need to leave early for some reason, inform your teacher, set up your mat space by the door, and make sure you take your own savasana (rest) before leaving so that you can enjoy your whole experience at Yoga by Blisstopia.

Practice Ahimsa

Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word meaning non-violence – especially in yoga by not harming your body, forcing any movements, or doing more than your higher self knows to. Practice Stira and Sukha, or steadiness and ease. Do no harm in thought, word, or deed and please treat everyone including managers, teachers, and other students with kindness, compassion, and respect.

Practice Satya

Satya means truthfulness. Be honest in all of your communications. We also ask that you please remain true to your intention for registration, participation and payment for the classes, workshops, trainings & wellness appointments.

Practice Saucha

Meaning order, tidiness, or cleanliness, saucha reminds us to “leave no trace,” even in the yoga classroom. Mindfully place your belongings including shoes, coats, bags in the cubbies provided.  When you enter the studio, please set your mat in alignment with the other rows. At the close of the class continue the practice of Saucha and Karma Yoga by replacing all props to the place and presentation in which you found them. Also avoid wearing perfumes, smoking, or having strong body odor when coming to class as many students have scent sensitivities. Chewing gum is not allowed in the studio.

Practice Respect

When leaving the studio, please keep your voices low as there are other classes and workshops doing wonderful healing work. Let’s not disturb them!

Cell phones/valuables

Please do not use cell phones in the yoga studio. Please leave your cell phone in the car or in your bag and make sure they are turned off. We suggest that you do not bring any valuables into the yoga studio as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
