Peggy Brown – Energy Worker
I have been offering Reiki since 2009. It brings me great joy to see someone experience healing through Reiki.
What is my philosophy?
I have always believed that healing and health are not just physical concerns but are holistic in nature. Mind, body, spirit, it is all one; no separation. I also believe that we have great power within ourselves to control or improve our health.
We have non-physical, energetic fields that are integral parts of us. These fields become imbalanced in the same ways that our bodies do when under wear and stress. These imbalances can eventually lead to physical illness. Reiki works with these energy fields to help restore and re-balance them. A Reiki treatment produces a profound feeling of relaxation which creates an environment in which our bodies can work powerfully on self-healing.
How did I get started?
I discovered Reiki when someone suggested that, at heart, I had always been a healer and that I might want to learn some energy healing techniques. So I decided to try a Reiki treatment for myself. At one point during that treatment, my body suddenly felt as if every cell in it surged open and became fully charged! I don’t know any other way to describe it, and it was an amazing feeling!
I knew then that I needed to learn Reiki. I have never looked back. My initial training was taken at the Meta Institute in Minneapolis. Further training was with Emily Graves out of New Mexico. I am a Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and a Karuna Reiki Practitioner, Level II.
For me, being a Reiki practitioner began with packing up my Reiki table and traveling to people’s homes to give treatments. Lugging the table around is no longer something I do, but I continue to give treatments regularly. I also volunteer at the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute in Coon Rapids, providing Reiki to cancer patients.
My Reiki journey continues to reveal the limitless powers of healing we have within ourselves when we release energetic blockages and resistance.
What motivates me?
It thrills me when I see someone newly discovering the healing power in subtle energies. I envision a world where suffering is greatly reduced as we collectively learn and embrace the wholeness of ourselves to release these healing powers.

“Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. All energy is vibration, and like vibrations attract each other. Match your vibration to the vibration of the want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”
